Our Story
A Mother's Journey Became a Mission of Hope
Clarence Foundation was born from a mother's journey of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love.
When Shanice's son, Clarence, was just 8 months old, he was diagnosed with developmental disabilities. The years that followed brought challenges, uncertainty, and countless therapy appointments.
For 12 years, Clarence attended physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Progress sometimes seemed slow, but his mother never gave up. Through determination, prayer, and God's grace, Clarence achieved milestones that once seemed impossible. By age 12, he began walking and talking.
Inspired by her family's journey and grateful for how God carried them through every challenge, Shanice established Clarence Foundation in 2025 to support other families raising children and adults with disabilities.
Clarence's journey is a reminder that miracles can happen when faith and perseverance work together.

What We Do
Practical Support Through Every Stage of the Journey
We respond to the real needs families face while caring for children and adults with disabilities—from stable housing and daily essentials to therapy, assessments, and education.
Rent Support
We help families experiencing financial hardship meet urgent rent costs and maintain a safe, stable place to live.
Food and Household Essentials
We assist with food and basic household needs so families can focus on care, health, and daily life with dignity.
Therapy and Medication
We help cover therapy and medication expenses for children and adults living with disabilities.
Medical Transportation
We provide transportation support so beneficiaries can attend therapy sessions, assessments, and medical appointments.
Disability Assessments
We sponsor disability assessments for children, helping families access clearer guidance and appropriate care.
Birthdays and Gifts
We celebrate children with disabilities by providing birthday cakes and gifts that make each child feel seen and valued.
Education and Career Development
We support educational goals and career development opportunities that can open a path toward greater independence.
